After a long day of work, a blonde-haired woman in a t-shirt, jeans, and a drape covering her right arm, opened the door to the pub and sat on a bar stool. It had been two weeks since the engineer had been transferred to the Sawmill division in RED, and already she was missing her friends back at Teufort. Sure, she had met her new team mates, but she just didn't feel like they connected very well. She let out a sigh as she looked around the bar, seeing no familiar faces.

After about an hour of wandering through Rogue River, Ian arrived at the bar. Since he decided to be done with checking out the small town for the day, he had been spending that time looking for taxi services... without success. So, the Medic walked through the pub doors in hopes they had a phone he could use.
The place wasn't as crowded as he had imagined. Ian let out a small sigh of relief and walked up to the front of the bar. Taking a seat at one of the empty stools, he was soon greeted by the bartender. I guess since I'm here, having a drink wouldn't hurt.
"I'll have, uh-- I'll just take a raspberry lemonade." The bartender gave him a weird look, probably for ordering something non-alcoholic. "I'm driving." Of course, he was lying, but he didn't want to be haggled about it any further. The man on the other side of the bar then shrugged and went to prepare his drink.
((Note because I'm too lazy to edit it in somewhere -- Ian's in casual clothes as well.))

Eunice looked over at the man sitting a few chairs away from her at the bar. The man didn't sound like any of the locals; didn't really sound like an American accent at all. "Yer not frum 'round these parts, are ya' stranger?" She asked.

Ian was kind of taken by surprise -- he hadn't really expected someone to talk to him here. Looking over at the woman, he cleared his throat a bit. "That's right." The bartender came back with his glass and sat it down next to him. "I'm uh-- I'm from Ohio, actually. ...'S my first time out here." He took a quick sip of his drink, and then realized he'd forgotten his manners. "I'm Ian."

"Ohio, eh? From Arkansas mahself." She said. That was a bit strange, she could have sworn he was a foreigner. "Nice t' meecha, Ian. Name's Eunice." The drape over her right shoulder covering her arm made a motion for her drink, then paused, and she used her left hand instead. "What brings y' all th' way t' Oregon?"

Ian, having taken another drink, sat his glass down again. "I came here for a job, actually..." He trailed off for a second. He couldn't remember any policies saying whether or not he could reveal information about BLU... but he decided to play it safe anyway. "I just started working here-- as a doctor."
The cloth covering Eunice's right arm did catch the Medic's eye a bit, but he knew it would be rude to ask about it. "...Arkansas is pretty far away from here too, y'know." He tried to keep the conversation going, idly drumming his fingers against the cold glass in front of him. "How'd you end up here? I mean-- if you don't mind me asking or anything."

"Same, came here fer a job...." Eunice said. Saying she was a highly-trained assassin that built weapons of destruction in order to kill people seemed a bit intimidating, and the last thing she wanted to do was scare her new acquaintance off. "Doctor y' say? Where'd y' go t' college?"

"Just at the University of Cincinnati." Ian responded modestly. "I mean, my parents-- they wanted me to stay close to them until I finished school... so I did." He had actually gotten prompts to go to school at places all over the country -- but he felt better about himself staying loyal to his mom and dad.
He took another drink, and his curiosity finally got the best of him. "Hey umm, I don't mean for this to sound rude," He started, placing one of his elbows on the bar and supporting his head with that hand. He lowered his already-quiet voice. "But-- how come you, uh... have that drape over your arm there?" He pointed, even though it was obvious what he was referring to.

The blonde smirked, "promise y' won't run off if I show y'?" she asked.

Ian blinked a few times. "Uh, yeah-- of course." To be honest, saying that only made him want to see it even more.

The engineer glanced over at the bartender, who was busy talking with one of the locals, then back to Ian. Eunice pulled the cloak away to reveal a robotic arm, beginning at her shoulder. "I werk fer a... th' government..." she lied, "prosthetic limbs fer agents..." she quickly covered it back up with the cape. "Not s'posed t' show civilians, but it's not like anyone would believe y' if y' tried tellin' anybody."

Ian's eyes widened at the sight of the woman's metal arm. It was probably the coolest thing he'd ever seen in his life. I mean, being a doctor and all, he wasn't too unfamiliar with the idea of prosthetic body parts... but this? This was something completely different.
"Woah..." In fact, the Medic might have been just a little jealous -- because who wouldn't want a really awesome robot limb? He got a good look at it before Eunice moved her cloak again.
"Yeah, I... I won't tell anyone." He nodded as he responded to her, thinking that that's what the Engineer meant when she said she wasn't supposed to tell others.

"Oh, n-no! I wouldn't make you do that for me." Her offer was flattering, but having a stranger get him something he is fully capable of acquiring himself would make him feel guilty.
He also didn't want to have to elaborate about not wanting an alcoholic beverage.
"...I uh, appreciate the offer, though."

"Nonsense, I insist," she waved at the bartender, "What's yer poison?"
