She couldn't help but to chuckled as well. Now that she thought about it, over the last couple of days there had been an awful lot of broken glass and similar things on the floor. "I imagine your home also wasn't full of a bunch of homicidal maniacs," she added. As more time passed, Eric realized that hanging out with Ian for a few hours didn't seem like such a bad thing at all.

"Well..." Ian began to refute her jokingly, but he was interrupted by his own laughter. The atmosphere around them was much less stressful than before; the Medic was pretty relaxed at this point. He was grateful that he and Eric got along surprisingly well. Since, according to her, she had an 'unpleasant' streak -- one that he still hadn't really noticed.
"...I wonder if any of them even heard us out there." He made a slight nod towards the door. He couldn't recall making any efforts to be quiet while inspecting the kitchen earlier... so, well...? You never know.

Eric glanced toward the door as he spoke. "Maybe." She said once he had finished. "But hey, if someone does wake and they want to go investigate and get assaulted by ghost glass that's their business." The comment was lighthearted, but in truth she wanted to steer him away from the idea of going to check. Of course, if he did suggest it she would have to go. After all, she didn't wanna seem like some pansy, but the idea of going back into the pitch black hallway was less then appealing.

Ian let out a small sigh. "...I guess." As much as it pained him to think about not helping people, Eric was probably right. He'd already gotten himself hurt once tonight -- on top of everything that happened because of RED's Spy a few days prior. He figured it would be for the best if everyone else had just continued their night like normal: asleep and oblivious to anything going on outside.
Speaking of wounds, Ian decided to untie Eric's rag from his foot. He predicted the bleeding would have stopped already... and it had. Slipping the small cloth into one of his pants pockets, he made a note to wash it for her the next time he did laundry.

Eric glanced at the clock once again. 4:03am. She leaned back in the chair and sighed quietly. Man she was tired. Nothing seemed more appealing that second then crawling back into bed and falling back asleep. The only thing stopping her however, was currently sitting on her bed. It didn't appear as if Ian planned on leaving any time soon, and despite wanting to sleep, she didn't really want him to leave either. Maybe they could make a blanket fort to sleep in... wait, no, what kind of moron made blanket forts? No, that wouldn't do. "Well," she said aloud, "We've got about three hours until sunrise. What do we do."

Ian yawned, bringing his hand to his mouth out of habit. He also glanced at Eric's clock -- noticing that time had been passing a lot slower than he'd thought. "I'm not sure." He stuck his hands in his pockets and fiddled with the rag in his left one. "But uh, if you want me to leave at some point-- so you can sleep, or something... just lemme know. It's no big deal." He realized he'd been in her room for a little while now... maybe he was overstaying his welcome.

She waved a hand dismissively. "Nah, you're fine," she lied, "Stay as long as you want. After all that shit I'm not gonna make you leave." As soon as the words left her mouth Eric questioned why on Earth she would say that. Yes she was tired, yes she wished he would leave, and he just said he wouldn't mind, so why would she tell him to stay? What a stupid thing to do. Well, there wasn't exactly any taking it back. Now they were stuck in there with nothing to do for three hours.

Ian was looking at Eric as she spoke. Her response was reassuring, but reading her face told him that she was just trying to be nice. The Medic wasn't going to hold lying against her, because he knew that if he were in that situation, he'd end up doing the exact same thing.
"I think... I might end up heading to bed anyway." He said, and slowly got to his feet -- still trying to take it easy on his left foot. Then he realized he probably needed a good reason to just suddenly up-and-go. "After all, depriving ourselves of sleep like this is unhealthy." Hopefully that was good enough.
Looking down to make sure he wouldn't hurt himself on any unseen glass shards, Ian started making his way towards her door.

Eric blinked in surprise as he stood. Well, that problem solved itself pretty quickly. She unfolded her legs and leaned forward in the chair, getting ready to get up. "Hey, suit yourself." She said with a shrug. "Just be careful, y'know." The last comment she made with a much more serious tone. After all, weird shit like this was pretty worth watching your back over. Although he probably knew this, so she wasn't sure why she felt the need to remind him.

"You too." Because of his manners, Ian returned the sentiment without even thinking. Then he looked at her again, eyes narrowing a bit. "Don't hesitate to come find me if, uh-- if something else goes wrong... please?" He added on, putting emphasis on the last word. Then he put a hand over the doorknob to make his leave.
Ian hesitated at the doorknob. The icy metal handle sent a chill through his body. Thoughts about what could be out there waiting on him invaded his mind, and he laughed nervously. "...Good night, Eric." He said his farewell without turning towards her, and slowly exposed the room to the darkness of the hallway.

Eric stood and stretched her arms above her head. "Heh, no promises, but I'll try to remember." She watched him leave, feeling a bit nervous as he swung the door open. As he started to leave she moved over to the bed and pulled the covers back, but she paused when he addressed her again. "Yeah, good night, Ian." She replied softly. Not waiting to see if he would reply, she crawled into bed and closed her eyes, suddenly realizing just how tired she was.

After gently clicking Eric's door shut behind him, Ian wasted no time hightailing it back to his room. The base was naturally a little cool at night, and it didn't make wandering around in the darkness any easier -- especially after what went down a few hours before.
The Medic had left his door open when he made his exit earlier, so he just walked in. Unlike the Scout's, Ian's room was pitch black. He flipped the light switch a few times out of habit, and... nothing. Power must still be out. He let out a sigh as he closed his door, then trudged towards his bed.
Fortunately, he made it to his bed in one piece. The covers were slightly matted, one part folded inward for allowing someone to leave -- just the way he'd left it. He crawled in and closed his eyes. After a few seconds, he shifted to where his back was against the wall; it gave him an small sense of security, which was nice. Then slowly, Ian felt the fatigue start to steal his awareness away.
He really hoped the power would be back on by morning.
