"That girl's scrappier 'n any of us. If there's a tussle to be had, she's gonna be smack in the middle of it. Rocket launchers or not," he adds, wincing internally at Franciska's description of Eric's recent fight. He knows what sort of damage those rockets can do, and certainly doesn't fancy being on the receiving end of one. "Still, I appreciate ya patchin' her up. Most folks would've left her as-is, opposite team an' all. Ya know, you're pretty decent for a RED, Miss Sawbones." The Engineer offers up a smile, genuine this time, grateful, and gestures to the pool. "Supposin' I catch an extra, you REDs be interested in taking one back? Heck of a lot better'n these rations, an' 's the least I could do for you gettin' our little lady fit to ship again."

"Pleasant offer..... Franciska can decide." Gordon said. This was perhaps the first time..... Gordon hadn't actually met the BLU Soldier or the BLU Engineer actually now that he thought about it. The Soldier seemed to be quite the gruff man while the Engineer seemed to be nice enough.

Fran returned the engineer's smile. Between Eric, Barv, and now the aggressive soldier, she held the opinion the the BLUs were a hoard of uncivilized brutes. It was good to see at least one of them was the slightest bit affable. Well, she'd see just how long that lasted when they met on the battlefield. For now however, it was actually quite pleasant. "No need to thank me. It is my job after all." Fran couldn't help but chuckle at the name he'd given her. "Miss Sawbones"? That's certainly a new one. She couldn't honestly say she disliked it either. "Oh please, keep your own fish. We have plenty to eat. Thank you though." Seeing as the immediate chances of getting shot were reduced for the moment, she saw little harm in staying a little bit longer.
"If you don't mind me asking, where are you from? I can't quite place your accent honestly." Of course, she was one to talk, her own Swedish accent being quite prominent. It was hard to keep all the American dialects straight sometimes.

"He's frum Alabama..." Eunice said, after overhearing the conversation. "I'd recognize that accent anywhere..."

Darren looks up in mild surprise, not hearing the approach of the other Engineer. "You're right about that one, ma'am," he says with a nod and a tip of his helmet. "Little town called B-ut you don't need to know that," he manages to save. "Don't want the boss-lady gettin' mad for revealin' too much." To say nothing of his own team's Soldier. "An' you're from down south as well, aren't ya ma'am? Ozarks? Don't meet many 'round these parts."

"Arkansas... Well, grew up fer a while in Cajun country, then spent mah college years in Mississippi..." Eunice replied, rather pleased that she was right about the other engineer's origins.
