Fran surveyed the equipment she had laid out on her desk. There was a wide assortment of cameras, monitors, thermometers, and some things she wasn’t really sure what they were supposed to be. It was anything and everything a ghost hunter could ever dream of. “Eunice, you’re a life-saver.” She said with a satisfied nod. She’d owe the engineer a huge favor for rounding up all of this stuff for her on such short notice. Now there one only one last thing she needed: assistants. Leaving the supplies in her office, she walked across the hall and poked her head into the common room. “Hey guys, who wants to help me with some ghost hunting?"

Gordon was coughing slightly as he had been trying to recover from a slight cold for the past few days. He turned as he saw Fran's head pop into the common room, asking for assistance with ghost hunting. "Hm. I guess I could help you a little. So this is what your researching brought you to then? Interesting. I hope I'll be of some help then." He stood up and stretched a little.

"Ghost-huntin'?" Eunice repeated, "I built that equipment t' test radio waves n' such; y' ain't gon' catch no ghosts with that." The engineer looked over at her right arm, then rubbed it. "b'sides, no such thing as ghosts..."

"Of course not." Zacharie piped up from behind his book, turning a page as he spoke. "But I think it was a figure of speech." The spy was lounging in his usual chair, his cigarette idly burning in the tray next to him on the coffee table.

"Oh drat!" She didn't check to see who was in the room before she announced her project so she didn't notice Eunice sitting on the couch. "Well, I guess you can't be in the control group anymore. Well, that means you can join us now!" She said with a grin. "And I'd certainly wait until these tests are over before you decide if ghosts are real or not." Her own personal paranormal experiences aside, she was set on give this matter the proper scientific treatment it deserved. "So are you guys in or not?"

"Control group?" Eunice quirked a brow, "What in tarnation are you goin' on about? Y' ain't plannin' on makin' sum weird experiment outta this, are ya?" The engineer set her Mann Co. magazine down, "Listen Doctor.... Frannie, was it? Even if there are ghosts... d-don'tcha think they'd rather be left alone?" Her Creole grandmother always told her stories about ridiculous spirits and creatures that the human eye should never see, and they would scare her when she was younger; but she was an adult now, and being an adult meant casting aside such childish beliefs and fears. ....It still wasn't a good idea to be messing with the supernatural, though... not that it existed or anything... just... it wasn't smart.

"Sure. Why not." Gordon said. "Whatever you want to do with your research. I'll just do what I can to help out so you can get the results. Just tell me what I need to do." Gordon himself was quite interested in the matter. They wanted answers and hopefully, they would be successful in determining more.....

"Eunice, this is actually a running thing that's been going on for a while. A few strange events have happened on this base." Zacharie looked up from his book at her, then picked up his cigarette from the tray. "I don't think we intend on really disturbing spirits, if there are any. Just, oh, testing for certain changes in atmosphere or reactions to certain environments. Am I right?" He glanced over at Fran and took a quick drag from his cigarette.

"Well...yes actually. You were previously in the control group because you didn't know about the ghost story. That's out the window now." A minor setback to be sure. She'd find a way around it somehow. "And if there is a spirit haunting the base, I don't think it'd mind too terribly if we just took some readings, right?" Truth be told, Fran wanted to disprove the ghost story more than anything else. The idea of some unseen phantom lurking in their own base...she shivered just thinking about it. No, if there was anything that could help her sleep more soundly at night it was some good old science. "I was thinking we'd start in the basement seeing as that was the location of the more....err, recent activity."

The engineer narrowed her eyes and folded her arms. "Well, what d' y' need me t' do?" She asked.

"I agree." Gordon replied. "Whatever we find, we find." He said with a quiet voice. He himself believed in ghosts to a certain extent. Should there really have been a ghost, they surely didn't have any bad intentions nor did they want to cause any trouble. They were conducting an investigation through readings was all. Hopefully, things would turn out alright. He rolled down his sleeves since the air may get a bit chilly. Not to mention those unexplained chills down in the basement. Things were simply getting rather uncomfortable. "And yeah, just tell us what we should do."

He marked his current page by bending it's corner down and shut the book his was reading. The spy waited calmly for instructions as well.

Fran scratched her head. "I don't actually know. I'm pretty new to this. I guess we all just grab some equipment, turn the lights off, and wait for something spooky to happen." Unsurprisingly, her own personal library contained very little information on the subject of paranormal investigating so they would have to wing it. "Besides, it didn't take very long for weird things to start happening before. I say we give it a shot!"

Eunice quirked a brow at the suggestion. First the medic asked her to build radio equipment, now this. She was beginning to think she was just as eccentric as the other medic on her last team. "Alrighty then, yer th' boss, I s'pose."
