"No problem." Gordon sighed. "You're right about that though. With how prominent these occurrences have been as of recently, I feel like we may come across something."

"A shot in the dark, hm?" He thought it was all very serious as usual. But the spy lazily got up from his chair and ashed his cigarette. "Fine, where is the equipment we need for this trip, then?"

Eunice opened her magazine back up and continued browsing; still listening to the conversation and awaiting orders.

"Be right back!" She bolted from the common room back to her office and returned with a barely-contained armful of various pieces of equipment. "We can just set some of this stuff up to monitor our surroundings." Setting the pile of stuff down rather ungracefully an the table in the center of the room, she grabbed one of the items and held it up. "And I have this to use to try and incite some activity!" It was a board covered with the letters of the alphabet. The words "yes" and "no" were printed on each bottom corner. All and all she was quite proud of the little collection of paranormal paraphernalia she'd collected. If these things didn't get her some decent evidence, she highly doubted anything else would.

"Huh." Gordon looked at the objects and studied them carefully, figuring out how they would be used. "Looks interesting."

"A Ouija board." He said with an unimpressed tone, walking over and looking at the board. "This... this isn't very much in the way of science. This is a children's game." Zacharie didn't have much to say about the other things she'd brought in, but really?

"Ah hate t' say it, but yer spah here is right. Any paranoid fool could jes' shake that thing 'round n' say some spirit was sendin' them a message." Eunice folded her arms and crossed her legs.

She crossed her arms and frowned indignantly. "Oh come on, every personal account I've been able to dig up always begins with someone using a Ouija board to summon some unholy spirit from beyond the grave. Plus, that's not really the end goal is it? No, I'm far more interested in seeing the effect the mere expectation will have." She glared at the spy. "Children's game? Really? I'll have you know this thing here has been used to contact spirits for centuries. Supposedly anyway. Regardless, it will serve our purposes just fine, thank you very much." Well at least Gordon was on board. One's better than none. "Come on, let's get this stuff to the basement." She said, gesturing to him.

Despite the air of negativity and Gordon's own feelings of slight pessimism, he went along since there wasn't any harm in trying regardless of the nature of the Ouija board. Spirit or not, they would find something at least. He let out a small sigh as he carried some of the items.

Zacharie just crossed one arm over the other and gestured at Fran as she left, looking over at Eunice all the while. "Well, shall we?"
He'd play along, to be honest he was a lot more interested than he let on. In fact, he didn't even mind the Ouija board. He couldn't bring himself to say anything else though. I've certainly been a smooth operator lately, haven't I? he thought sarcastically to himself.
Nevermind. He followed the others and picked up a few other gadgets as he went.

"Fine," Eunice replied, "I'll play along."

The basement actually looked a lot less meanacing with the lights on. Just some boxes and other things stacked in piles around the room. The red splashed across the floor made the place look like a crime scene until Fran remembered it was just the red paint Zacharie knocked over while he was goofing around. Knowing him, she had no doubt he'd try something like that again. Hopefully he'd be at the recieving end of a ghostly shoulder pat tonight. She located a relitively clean area of floor. "We'll sit in a circle here and set everything else up around us."

"Alright." Gordon sighed. He put the equipment down on a clean part of the ground. He took a quick glance at the red paint splattered all over the ground. It looked quite ominous but at the very least, the basement was not dark. Always a plus. "Do you want these things placed anywhere?"

He was surprised to see the red paint there, he’d forgotten it too. Matter of fact he even threw out and replaced those shoes the next day. Zacharie really had no plans as to try anything like he did that night, as of yet. He looked around a bit, was this the first time he’d been down here with the lights on? It was a mystery. “I assume we’re going to try and have our séance first.”

Eunice was completely unfazed by the red liquid on the floor. Even if it was blood, it was pretty common around a base in the middle of war. The engineer looked over at the other three, and took a seat. This team was so much unlike the ones she had been on before; they were more focused on staying alive and killing people rather than something so childish as hunting ghosts.
